2007 USEF National Developing Horse Dressage Championship
Kentucky Horse Park, September 14 - 16, 2007

Inspired by a popular German championship for this age division, the USEF National Developing Horse Dressage Championship continues USEF’s initiative to recognize up-and-coming dressage talent – not only for riders, but also for horses. Designed as the next step in encouraging the development of future U.S. Team horses, this Championship bridges the gap between the Young Horse ranks and High Performance at the Prix St. Georges/Intermediaire I level.

Lynn and d'Artagnan placed 8th (out of 34)in their Prix St. Georges
High Performance class at the CDI Raleigh on June 1st, 2007.

Tick Info:
I've been using Frontline spray on their legs, arm pits, groin, tail head, etc. I just spray the areas like fly spray--nothing like the amount they recommend for a dog.

In addition I've been using three vials of ProTICall per horse--one up at the bridle path, one at the withers and one on the top of the rump. In addition to giving some tick protection, it also seems to have helped enormously with face flies.

I buy both products from www.countrysidepet.com. The ProTICall used to be sold as Defend Exspot, so they use both names on their website. So even though the website shows a picture of Defend Exspot, what arrives is ProTICall, made by Schering Plough. Their sales rep told my horse vet last year that it is safe for horses--it's the same Permethrin used in the stuff they sell for horses but at ~$11.00 for six vials, it is a lot cheaper!

I do use latex gloves when applying either one and only apply it monthly. Hope it works for you.

Caution that these products are not approved for horses (although the Schering Plough salesman said they could be used on horses).
